WITTE 1982-1984 (approximate dates of production)
This is our 1/2 scale model of a Witte 2 H.P. originally built by the Witte Engine Works in 1916. The Witte is known as the side arm or walking beam engine because of the exhaust rocker stretching the length of the engine. It has a 2" piston with 9" flywheels; a high tension coil ignition; fueled by gasoline. It has the traditional hit and miss governor.
TIP: All Debolt Machine built Witte models have babbit main bearings.

PERKINS 1985-1988 (approximate dates of production)
The Perkins engines were produced in air-cooled or water-cooled versions. This model is copied for a 1 1/2" H.P. This engine is referred to as a windmill engine. It was primarily used for pumping water when wind was not available. It has a 9" flywheel; fly-ball hit and miss governor on a vertical side shaft. The engine is igniter fired and was sold by us in the water-cooled or air-cooled versions.

ALLMAN 1989-1991 (approximate dates of production)
The Allman inverted engine was designed in the 1890's. Our engine is a 1/3 scale copy of the 1 H.P. It has a 9" flywheel 1 1/4" bore, with a eccentric type Cam system. It utilizes the cast iron radiator for cooling and has high tension (Spark plug) ignition system with a unique spark saver. The governor is hit and miss type which allows the engine runs with smooth and effortless movement.

STICKNEY 1991-1995 (approximate dates of production)
The 1 3/4" Stickney began production in 1908. Our 1/3" Scale has 1 1/4" bore and 8" Flywheels. It has a flyweight hit and miss governor and an unusal punch type low-tension igniter system. All moving parts, the Cam, governor gears, igniter Cam, and rocker arms are all contained in a gearbox at the rear of the engine. The motion of push rods that activate the ignition and the exhaust valve go around or through the crankcase.

CANFIELD 1995-1999 (approximate dates of production)
Canfield engines were introduced in New York around 1903. Our 1/3" Scale model has 7 13/16" diameter flywheels and 1 1/4" bore. It has a hit and miss governor that is activated by brass fly-balls at the end of the side shaft. It has the water tank mounted directly on top of the cylinder. Fuel utilized is gasoline, with a spark plug ignition system.  It is a lightweight model engine, when finished weighs about 25 lbs.

VAUGHN 2000-2006
The Vaughn was built around 1902. It was originally manufactured by the Star Mfg. Co. of Walbash, Indiana. It is a sidewinder sideshaft design that was only built for about four months. Our model is copied from the only existing engine. It has igniter ignition, side shaft, hit and miss flyweight governor, and sidewinder crank with a single flywheel.
    Kits are no longer available.

OLDS GEARLESS 2006-
This model is based on a 2 1/2" H.P. Vertical Gearless, which was built in the 1890's. It incorporates a pendulum type governor, igniter ignition, and fuel pump, all without the use of gears. This is accomplished with a notched cam with a ratchet wheel, advanced simply by eccentric movement. Model engine specifications are 1 3/4" bore, 2 1/4" stroke, 12 1/16" flywheels height 22 1/2" finished weight 80 pounds (4/10 scale of the original). Operational speed Ranges from 100 to 500 RPM. Casting Kits, Mechanics Kits, and Finished Engines are presently available for this engine. Go to the gearless Olds engine Section for more detailed information.
