Star Gas Engine This model is based on an original Star Gas Engine made in New York at the turn of the last century. Duplicated and miniaturized on this fully operational model are unique features of early engine design.	CASTING KIT. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . $ 699.00(Requires machining and part fabrication) The hobbyist or person with machinist skills can machine this model kit. Optional finished parts for this engine are listed on this page. Kit Includes: CAD Plan's with a video tape and/or DVD containing assembly and operational directions. A brass serialized nameplate, (3) igniter springs, (1)intake valve spring, (1) exhaust valve spring, (1) fuel pump spring, and (2 governor springs (8 total springs in kit). (1) set of governor & cam gears made of steel. Cast iron castings: (2) flywheels, (1) cylinder, (1) base, (2) bearing caps. Cast iron material for the piston, pulley exhaust head, intake head, muffler, and cam gear bracket. Brass material for the pump, carburetor, check valve, and the throw bearing. A horizontal engine, the igniter (mechanical ignition) is mounted on top of the cylinder. It is activated by a cam which operates both the igniter and fuel pump. With two heads, one for the intake system with a flow thru fuel system (gasoline), the other has all of the exhaust system's components. The governor is a high speed centrifical vertical flyball "hit and miss" type, which provide excellent speed control capabilities. This is another limited edition Debolt Machine, Inc. Model Gas Engine. Model specifications are; bore 1 1/2" dia., 2 1/2" stroke, 9.6" dia. flywheels. Finished Engine weight mounted on the wood base shown in photo 47 lbs. (1/5 scale). The actual size of the model shown in our photos 18" x 12" x 15" on the wood base. Actual engine without wood base 10 3/4" high x 16 1/2" long x 10" wide. Operational speed 100-500 rpm. The engine is shown in the photos as an unpainted, assembled Mechanic's Kit. Wood base is not included with a Mechanic's Kit.
