OLDS GEARLESS
This model is based on a 2 1/2" H.P. Vertical Gearless, which was built in the 1890's. It incorporates a pendulum type governor, igniter ignition, and fuel pump, all without the use of gears. This is accomplished with a notched cam with a ratchet wheel, advanced simply by eccentric movement. All these functions are miniaturized for you, in detail, in a fully operational model engine. Model engine specifications are 1 3/4" bore, 2 1/4" stroke, 12 1/16" flywheels height 22 1/2" finished weight 80 pounds (4/10 scale of the original). Operational speed ranges from 100 to 500 RPM.

The hobbyist or person with machinist skills can machine this model. Optional finshed parts for this engine is listed below. These kits are in limited supply. When our present supply is exhausted there will be no more casting kits available.

KIT INCLUDES: Plans and a video containing assembly and optional directions, a brass name plate, springs - 3 igniter, 1 intake valve, 1 exhaust valve, 1 cam spring, 2 governor springs, 3 fuel pump springs, cast iron castings - cylinder, 2 flywheels, 2 main bearing caps, cylinder support, intake manifold head, crankcase, exhaust manifold, Cast iron material pieces - piston, muffler, pulley. Brass castings - push rod eccentric, carburetor bowl, carburetor elbow, (8) 90 degree elbows, 2 tees. Brass material - Helmut, push rod guide. Aluminum casting - 1 fuel tank. Total Weight 105 lbs. divided between 2 boxes.

All of Debolt Machine Model Engine types are limited editions. This creates value for our customers long term. We also serial number each engine to indicate when it was built in the product run, and the state of completetion at the time it was sold. All Mechanics Kits and Finished Engines have interchangeable parts. This enables you to have parts made to our drawings should it become nessary to replace or repair your engine.
